Live Staking Workshop and Giveaway

Do you have a stream on your property? Would you like to learn about a cost-effective way to stop streambank erosion using native plants? The Town of Black Mountain is partnering with local non-profit RiverLink to offer a FREE workshop on live staking your streambank to prevent erosion.

Registration is open to Buncombe County residents. Participants will receive a free bundle of 20 live stakes after a short workshop presentation on the benefits of live staking and demonstration of how to plant them. 20 stakes will cover 35-40 feet of streambank.

Install live stakes within a week for best results.

Registration is limited to 25 people, so register today!
